Rose Marshack is a researcher, teacher, computer programmer, performer, and artist living in Champaign, IL. She currently is an Assistant Professor of Music and Arts Technology at Illinois State University. Originally from Chicago, Rose received two BS degrees in Math, Computer Science and Engineering at UIUC, and an MFA in Narrative Media. She is also a founding member and main performer in Poster Children, Inc., a musical group that has been featured in WIRED, Apple Magazine, CNN, MTV, Fox Kids TV, and the New York Times for pioneering the integration of art, performance, music and technology. In her spare time Rose teaches martial arts at the Urbana Park District, podcasts Radiozero with her husband, blogs at whyamistillawake.com, and knits things. |
